**This novella has characters from both the Crown and Anchor series and the standalone Rushed. It’s sexy hot and full of laughs. Pre-warning you about it won’t do you any good.

Indiana Governor Chris Rock has had to hide his secret his whole life.  First as a combat Marine and now holding a political office he fears what would happen if his secret got out.  Without his personal assistant Carli around to force him to utilize discretion, Chris doesn’t know how he is going to get through a conference he is required to go to in NYC.

Going to the governor’s conference Chris doesn’t hold out much hope for an exciting weekend.  Within minutes of arriving the drinking starts then the fighting starts and then something Chris hadn’t expected happens, he sees Tyler Marshall.  Tyler is the first speaker and he catches Chris’s eye.  Knowing that Tyler is out of his league Chris tries to put the good-looking man out of his mind, but when the two are unexpectedly thrown together Chris tries not to get his hopes up.

In the wake of sexual scandal that forces Chris out of the closet he now must rely on a new circle of friends to help him clean up his mess.  Can Tyler see past Chris’s public exploits and see the real Chris Rock for who he really is, and will Chris be the man to fix Tyler’s broken heart?

Tied is a novella that follows the novels Crown and Anchor by Kerri Ann.  There are several characters and story lines that are mentioned throughout the novella that are from the previous stories but are explained well enough that this can be read as a standalone book.

Tied had me laughing at the drunken, gun toting southern governors and the smart-mouth name calling best friends of the two main characters, Chris and Tyler.  Both characters are intelligent and handsome and wounded in one way or another.  Kerri Ann did a three and half star job on telling the M/M romance.  I wish it would have been a full-length book so that Chris and Tyler’s romance hadn’t been quite so rushed.  I would like to have read more of them as a couple, and more of the outcome once Chris returned to his home state and what the fallout of the scandal entailed.  

With an avaricious appetite for stories, Kerri Ann can be found quite often with her nose in a book or writing it. On many occasion it has been said that she's in her own world, living in the stories of those she reads about, giving them a life they deserve. She can easily be found under a tree in the shade, or reclining at Starbucks scribbling notes about new stories and new characters, all while keeping the coffee chain in business. Whether late at night, at a music festival, or sitting on a ski lift, when the thoughts arise, Kerri Ann will add them to those in progress. So be wary, your antics could be in her next book.
